When I began my coaching journey with Alberta, I had no idea how profoundly it would impact my life. What started as a desire to align my work with my values turned into an incredible journey of self-discovery, entrepreneurial mastery, and personal transformation. Each segment of the coaching program built on the previous one, guiding me to unearth truths about myself, redefine rest, and craft a purposeful vision for my future.
Part 1: Pursuing Soul-Aligned Work
The first segment of the coaching program was transformative. It centred on self-discovery, helping me identify my unique strengths, core values, and sense of purpose. Through Alberta’s reflective prompts and thought-provoking exercises, I gained clarity on the God- given gifts and passions that set me apart.
A significant turning point was uncovering the limiting beliefs that had subtly influenced my decision-making. Alberta guided me to reframe those beliefs, opening my eyes to the possibilities of aligning my work with my faith and values. This wasn’t just an intellectual exercise—it was a heart-centred exploration that led to the creation of my personal mission statement.
One of the highlights was crafting my vision board. This wasn’t merely a collection of inspiring images; it was a deeply intentional process of aligning my short- and long-term goals with my core values. Through this activity, I saw how integral my faith, family, and a desire to empower others were to my mission. This alignment has become the foundation upon which I am building my business and making daily decisions.
Part 2: Establishing Entrepreneurial Presence
Moving into the mastery phase, Alberta encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone. Together, we translated my mission into a concrete business idea. We identified my ideal client, refined my service offerings, and crafted a product development strategy that leveraged my strengths.
At times, the process felt daunting. I had moments of doubt, questioning whether I could execute these ideas fully. But Alberta’s coaching style—grounded in faith, wisdom, and practical business insight—helped me push through those fears. She reminded me to lean into prayer, scripture, and the foundational truths I had established in the early sessions.
One of the biggest breakthroughs was developing clarity around my workshop concept. We broke it down into manageable steps: a defined vision, actionable goals, and a timeline for launch. By the end of this segment, I not only had a clear path forward but also felt empowered to take the first steps.
Part 3: Deepening Sacred Rest and Slow Living
This part of the journey was deeply personal. Life became increasingly busy during this segment, and I faced many challenges. Alberta’s emphasis on slow living and rest couldn’t have come at a better time. She reminded me that rest is not just a pause but a sacred act of renewal.
We worked on creating rhythms and rituals that honoured my values. I began prioritising daily walks, which not only met my physical need for exercise but also became a time of spiritual reflection and connection with God. I learned the importance of intentionality—how to navigate life’s unexpected events while staying focused on what matters most.
Part 4: Continuous Growth and Beyond
As we approached the final segment, I reflected on how much I had grown. Alberta helped me see that this journey wasn’t just about launching a business; it was about aligning every aspect of my life with my purpose. We celebrated the wins, addressed challenges, and created a plan for continuous growth.
One of the most valuable aspects of this journey was monumentalising my growth. Alberta encouraged me to create tangible records of my progress so that I wouldn’t forget the lessons and milestones along the way. I did this using tools like journaling throughout the coaching process, completing the detailed workbooks that accompanied each sessions, creating a Commonplace folder with resources from thought leaders in the field, and a mood board that serves as a powerful visual reminder of the vision I’m working toward.
One key takeaway is that growth often feels uncomfortable—it requires stepping into the unknown and trusting the process. However, with clarity, intentionality, and faith, it’s possible to transform even the most daunting challenges into opportunities for growth and transformation.
Highlighting What I’m Doing Now
As a direct result of this coaching journey, I’m excited to share that I am starting my own coaching business specialising in Sacred Rest and Slow Living. Building on my professional experience as a qualified psychotherapist, I am currently working to establish myself as a thought leader in this field. My mission is to help women prioritise rest, embrace intentional living, and align their lives with their deepest values.
